Recipe: Add ‘Spirit’ To Your Scalp On National Rum Day!
There are so many unexpected ingredients that can help nurture your hair’s health! You wouldn’t expect vodka and cayenne pepper to be a perfect combination for a topical hair recipe… but, in fact, they make a great pair.
On National Rum Day, let’s substitute the vodka for RUM and cayenne pepper for ONIONS!
This is a known At-Home recipe that many people mix up to prevent hair loss and improve hair growth. I sometimes use this for scalp stimulation.
WHAT YOU NEED:
1 Glass of rum
WHAT TO DO:
- Finely chop the onion.
- Place the pieces in the glass of rum.
- Leave it overnight.
- In the morning, strain the rum and remove the onion pieces.
- Massage the mixture into the scalp and leave-in for several minutes (5-10).
- Rinse out & then condition. I recommend using my Banana-Banana Conditioner.
*Note: Do not rinse through the hair, but through the scalp.
From rum to vodka, blueberries to peaches… so many spirits and super foods serve as incredible nutrients and healing sources for your hair.
